"One measure of an airline's success
is certainly the growth of its route
system.
During 1982 and the first quarter of
1983, Piedmont Airlines made
additions to its route system no less
than 32 times.
Much of the growth was as a result
of expanded service in our southern
hub, Charlotte, and from the
creation of a new Piedmont
midwestern hub in Dayton, Ohio.
By using these smaller, less
congested airports as primary
connecting points, Piedmont gave
millions of air travelers in 1982 an
easier way to fly.
Among the fourteen new cities added
to our systsem since 1981 are New
Orleans, Detroit, Dayton,
Chattanooga, Akron/Canton, and
Greenville/Spartanburg.
On the following map, you'll find the
additions to Piedmont's route system
since December 31, 1981."
